Great Patios in Whistler
Snow spray stings your face as you blast down the mountain on your final ski run of the afternoon. At the bottom of the slope, your spirit is invigorated but your body is tired and hungry after a day of skiing the Whistler Blackcomb mountains. The Whistler Blackcomb Ski Resort in British Columbia, Canada was a site for the 2010 Winter Olympics and is considered by many as the premier venue for skiing in North America. With the skiing done for the day, you're ready to relax and recount your adventures with friends. Fortunately, there is no lack of fine food and drink to be found at one of the many great patios that fill Whistler Village.
Many of Whistler's restaurants boast outdoor patios for those who want to enjoy the great scenery while satisfying their appetites. The Irish Pub, Dubh Linn Gate is highly regarded as one of the best patios in Whistler. The beer selection at Dubh Linn Gate is top-notch as you would expect to find in any traditional Irish bar. Enjoy a Guinness and Irish favorites like Shepherd's Pie and Chicken Curry around the firepit on their immense ninety-seat patio.
Citta's Bar has a large patio that also serves as a prime location for people watching. Be sure to try the poutine, a Canadian version of French fries that are covered with cheese curd and gravy. Citta's has been voted many times as the best patio in Whistler by local residents.
Another great patio can be found at The Longhorn Saloon. This restaurant occupies a prime location at the base of the mountains near the gondolas. The Longhorn Saloon dishes up gourmet burgers and legendary entrees to complement the stunning view from their outdoor patio.
Travelers come primarily to Whistler Blackcomb Resort for the top-notch skiing, great bike trails and amazing scenery. They have a pleasant surprise in store when they experience the outstanding drink and dining at some of the best patios in Whistler.
