The Tube Park in Whistler
Looking for something a little different? Something thrilling and fast, or something fun for the whole family to do? Check out the Coca Cola Tube Park in Whistler, BC. Well known for it's incredible skiing and village life, Whistler is continuously finding ways to make that winter ski vacation truly outstanding. Here are some details you need to know about the Tube Park:
1. Location - The Tube Park is located at Base 2 on Blackcomb Mountain. Jump on the chair lift from Whistler Village or the Magic Chair from the base of Blackcomb and walk through a cute little stairway/trail through the trees to the base of the Tube Park.
2. Kid Restrictions? You have to be at least 3 feet tall to ride. Little ones between 3 - 4 feet tall get to ride on mini tubes in the Family Lanes with their parent or guardian. Over 4 feet tall and you can ride in the big tubes with everyone else.
3. Lanes - Family Lanes and Big Kid Lanes. Think the Family Lanes will be lame? No way! Just a fraction shorter than the other lanes, the speed is enough to take your breathe away!
4. When to Go - the Tube Park is open now through April 22nd, from 11am - 8pm weekends, and 12 - 8pm weekends.
5. Fun? - Very!
6. Is It Workout? There is a bit of a climb involved, however with the "magic carpet" lift system, you can catch your breath as you get carried back up the hill on a black moving carpet.
