Snowshoeing Tours

If you can walk you can snowshoe! Snowshoeing is a fabulous way to get closer to the serene natural beauty of Whistler and the surrounding areas. Let your guide take you through the pristine wilderness while you learn about the natural wonders of the area. Along the way you may discover some of the local wildlife and the towering old growth forests in the area.

Whether it is your first time or you are experienced at snowshoeing, we have something for everyone including the children in the group. You can head out and explore in the day, or in the evening if you are too busy out on the slopes.

The Medicine Trail - Healthy Fitness Level

On this tour you'll travel deep into a special ancient forest in the Callaghan Valley. Following an old trapper's path, you'll learn traditional knowledge while you snowshoe and sample healing teas from plants that grow along The Meicine Trail. Under the canopy of ancient giant cedars, fir and hemlock trees you'll hear a brief history of the area's traditional uses and ways of the past. The tour ends back at the caboose with a snack by the fire.

Callaghan Snowshoe Cookout - All Ability Levels

On this evening tour you'll set out for Totem Pole Lake as twilight descends on the old-growth forest of the Callaghan Valley. The moonlight and your own headlamp light the way to a campfire where you'll enjoy a hearty one-pot meal under the stars - a true Canadian cookout. Take a quiet respite, listening to the crackling of the cozy fire and counting the stars while surrounded by wilderness.
